This policy explains how KHM SPECIALTY SERVICES INC ("diarylabs", "we", "us") handles information in our apps and on this website.
1. Our approach
Our diary apps are designed so that your entries stay on your own device by default. We do not require you to create an account to record entries, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. Information stored in the apps
The entries you create in a diarylabs app, such as mood scores, sleep records, notes, and custom items, are stored locally on your device. This information is not sent to us unless you choose to use a feature that does so, such as an optional cloud backup if and when we offer one.
3. Optional backup
If we offer an optional backup feature, entries you choose to back up would be transmitted and stored with a cloud service provider so that you can restore them. We will describe the provider and the data involved in the app before you turn the feature on, and we will update this policy accordingly.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Paid features, if offered, are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is processed by those stores. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive limited information about your purchase status from the store so that we can unlock the features you bought.
5. Information we may collect automatically
We may receive basic technical information, such as crash reports or app version and device model, if you choose to send it to us or if you enable such reporting. We use it only to find and fix problems and improve the apps.
6. This website
This website is informational. It does not use accounts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested for security and operations. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message and use them to reply.
7. How we use and share information
We use information only to provide and improve our apps and to respond to you. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the apps and website under appropriate confidentiality terms, or when required by law.
8. Health-related entries
Some entries you make, such as mood, sleep, or notes about visits and medications, may be sensitive. Our apps are wellness and self-tracking tools and are not medical devices. Because these entries are stored on your device by default, you control them. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode and using the app lock feature if available.
9. Your choices and rights
You can view, edit, export, and delete your entries within the app. Deleting the app removes the locally stored entries from your device. If you used a backup feature, you can ask us to delete backed-up data by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. To exercise them, contact us at the email below.
10. Children
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information we handle. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and keeping your device secure is an important part of protecting your entries.
12. International use
We are based in the United States. If we ever process information about you, it may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or by other appropriate means.
